Website chat (Elira)

The Elira chat widget on your website

What the chat bubble can do — school answers, event flyers, and questions your office can teach it.

Elira answers families on your website using your school's facts, events, and approved answers. The one-line code is on Settings. Paste it just before </body> on your site.

Prefer to watch? For charter schools, Try Elira, then put her on your website (1:21, with captions) walks through trying both test windows and copying the widget code. The same video appears in Try Elira and Install the website widget; every tutorial is under Tutorials on the support page.

Three languages, automatically

If your website blocks automated reading, Elira can still answer from school facts you teach her in the dashboard. Pilot home shows when she uses school facts instead of a website read. Elira answers in English, Spanish, or Arabic — she detects the language a family writes in and replies in kind (families can also switch with the language buttons). Arabic renders right-to-left. Elira shares current school events and the flyer links you publish in the dashboard. Once you confirm the full school calendar, the chat bubble also answers whether school is open on ordinary school days near today; a dated closure or office note wins.

When the answer needs your office

Elira offers a contact form rather than guessing. The family's question goes into the hourly office digest with an Improve AI Knowledge button (Answer for this family when it is about one child's records). Staff type the answer on that page and press Answer & teach Elira; the family receives the answer by email. A general answer helps Elira next time. An answer about one child's records stays private and is never taught to other families.

If a family asks for a tour or follow-up, Elira offers the same office contact form.

Your one-line code never needs to change — update your school facts, events, or answers in the dashboard and Elira uses them right away.
