Getting started

Upload your family list

Upload a fresh CSV each school morning so Elira recognises the families on your school list.

Open Families from your dashboard, or Family list in Setup. Download the sample CSV, fill it from your school's records, then upload and review the preview. A row needs a guardian phone number; rows without a usable phone are skipped.

The columns

Use the sample's headings:

Status answers are coming to the pilot after the agreement update. The status and note columns do not turn those answers on. For now, questions about a child's records go to your office.

Every school morning

Upload the whole current list, rather than only the rows that changed. The page shows the latest upload date, family count and how many rows have a status. Review skipped rows before you finish. A missing row is marked not in latest list; the older row does not count as today's school record. Update the CSV and upload again to correct it; there is no per-row editor.

The reminder turns amber after one school day without a fresh list and red after three. School days follow your school's calendar. Clear list asks you to confirm before removing your uploaded list.

What Elira says, and never says

Being on the list lets Elira recognise a number for school questions. It is not proof for sharing any child's record. Elira never names a child in a family-facing answer and never sends a family-list row to an AI model. Status answers coming after the agreement update will require a verified number on your school's latest list and the family code if your school requires it. They will cite the upload date, and a list older than three school days, an unknown number or a missing current row will go to the office.

Uploading grants no consent, sends no text and starts no follow-up messages. Families who asked to stop remain stopped.

Refresh your family list each school morning. Keep the CSV with your school's records, and keep family details out of support chat.
