Your pilot: Elira in the front office
Six months at no charge: school-day answers, current documents and a family list your office keeps fresh.
Your charter-school pilot runs for six months, with no charge during the pilot. You sign the full school agreement before starting. Elira answers families from the school information your office has checked.
School day and calendar
Teach Elira your office hours, bell times, closures and half days. On Setup, set Our closure list is complete through to the last date your office has checked. Elira answers “Is there school tomorrow?” only when your closure list covers that day. Otherwise she says she does not know and asks the office. See school days.
Documents families ask about
Publish school-wide PDFs such as handbooks, menus, supply lists and flyers. Elira uses them only after a person checks every page and publishes them. Each has a Valid until date. See Documents Elira reads.
Dates stop being repeated
Past events stop appearing in answers after their end date. Documents stop being used after Valid until, or when you retire them. Dated answers stop being used after their expiry date; an office note with an expiry stops then too. Keep dates current on Elira's Brain.
Your family list
Upload a fresh family list each school morning so Elira can recognise numbers your school has listed. Uploading the list sends nothing and grants no permission for messages. Elira never names a child in a family-facing answer. Questions about a child's records go to your office.
Your five tabs
Today shows the school day, questions needing you, the next seven days and yesterday's question counts. Families holds your family list. Elira's Brain has Calendar, Documents, Answers and Test. Reports shows pilot counts and timings; time saved is labelled as an estimate. Settings holds your website code, text number, AI pause, team and pilot end date.
