What happens after you request go-live
We verify the whole enrollment path against your own SchoolMint before anything goes live. You create nothing and there is nothing left for you to do.
Reading your roster and *writing* into SchoolMint are two different permissions, and a write that silently fails is the worst way to find that out mid-season. So once you press Request go-live, we run the full enrollment path against your own SchoolMint end to end and check each step by reading your portal again afterwards.
There is nothing left for you to do
You finished your part when you completed the checklist. We do not ask you to create a test record, reply to a test message, or watch a seat move. There is nothing left for you to do.
You'll hear from us when it passes, usually within two business days.
You may see one test applicant, and it is ours
During verification we create one applicant in your SchoolMint through the AskElira staff account:
- Its name starts with
ZZ-TESTso it is unmistakable at a glance and sorts to the bottom of any list. - Its guardian phone and email are our own, so every test message reaches us and nobody else. No family is contacted at any point.
- We remove it when verification finishes, and leave a closing note saying the record was ours.
If you spot it while we are working, that is expected. If you ever see a ZZ-TEST record still sitting there a few days after go-live, tell us — that is a mistake on our side, not a real applicant.
What we actually check
On that one test record, and never on a real family:
- We sign in and read your roster, and confirm the statuses we read match what your portal shows on screen.
- We type a note in your portal and confirm our sync reads that exact text back.
- We confirm our per-status counts match your portal's own totals, so a partial read cannot pass as a complete one.
- We make an offer, and confirm the deadline we record is the one your school published.
- We reply as a guardian would — by text, email, or the phone keypad — and confirm the seat moves to Accepted in your SchoolMint and that the note says how and when the answer came in.
- We do the same for a decline, and for releasing a seat and rescinding the offer.
- We remove the test record and confirm it is gone.
Every one of those is verified by reading your portal again, not by our system reporting success.
Until it passes
Sync stays read-only no matter what else is configured. Write-back starts only after verification passes and a person on our side switches it on — never automatically.
