Walkthrough: Safety
Families can stop texts by replying STOP or BAJA. Contact follows the school’s approved hours and permissions.
What families get
Families can stop texts by replying STOP or BAJA. Contact follows the school’s approved hours and permissions.
What you do
Respect stop requests. Check tasks and held messages. Ask your administrator when permissions or school settings need review.
What Elira never does
Elira never overrides a stop request, invents an answer, approves documents, releases a seat on silence or confirms attendance without the school.
The rule
STOP and BAJA stop texting. Consent, suppression, school pauses and weekly contact caps remain gates: at most 3 call attempts per family per 7 days. Automatic family contact runs on school days, 8–20 ET, narrowed by school settings and recipient local time. Calls use 9–12 / 13–16 / 17–18:30 ET windows.
Channels and timing
Automatic calls are limited to school call windows and the approved stage plan. Weekly caps are checked before contact; an owner-click test exception does not change automatic family hours.
What can hold it
Opt-out, missing or revoked consent, a closed enrollment, school pauses, weekly caps, an active call or an unknown prior outcome can stop another attempt.
What creates staff work
Staff resolve uncertain attempts, questions requiring judgment and open office tasks. A blocked action stays blocked until its real requirement is satisfied.
