Getting started

Starting with a free observation week

A free 7-day week where Elira reads your real applicants and drafts what she would send — no card, nothing sent, nothing signed but one short agreement.

Start a free 7-day week instead of the full contract, and see AskElira work on your own applicants before you decide anything.

What it is

You sign one short agreement — the Observation Week Agreement, about seven pages, one signature — instead of the three-part onboarding packet. Then you connect your real SchoolMint. For seven days Elira reads your live applicant roster and staff notes and writes every message she would send to families at each stage.

What happens the moment you sign

Your week starts on the signature — nobody has to switch it on. Signing takes you straight to the dashboard sign-in, and you get two emails: a confirmation from us with your end date and what to do next, and the signed agreement itself from our signing provider. Connect your SchoolMint that day. The week runs on its own clock whether or not a roster is connected, and a week with nothing to read ends in a report about nobody.

What it is not

Nobody is contacted during the week. Not one email, text, or call goes to a family. Your account is structurally excluded from every part of the system that reaches a family — it isn't a setting anyone has to remember to leave off. Nothing is queued to send later either. Nothing is written back to your SchoolMint — the week is read-only.

What you can reach

Three pages: your applicant roster (/dashboard), the drafts board (/dashboard/drafts) — every message Elira would have sent, with a "would send" timestamp and the line confirming nothing has gone out — and the SchoolMint connect page. Everything else (attendance, settings, enrollment, announcements, consent, school profile, WhatsApp) shows an upgrade screen naming what it does. That's the product working as designed, not a fault.

No card, no invoice, no auto-renew

We don't collect a payment method or send an invoice, and the week doesn't convert to a paid plan on its own. If you don't move forward, you do nothing — it just ends.

At the end of the week

You get a report by email: how many families Elira read, how many she would have contacted and at which stage, and a link to upgrade. See Going live after your observation week and What happens to your data after your observation week.
